There are many family-friendly hotels along Sunny Beach but if you’re looking for a relaxing family holiday with kids, DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel should definitely be on your list.
The main reason I enjoyed these days so much was the hotel where we stayed. The review below is entirely my own opinion and we paid for our stay ourselves. (Although I hope next time we can come back as part of a partnership!)

Is DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel worth it?
For our family, absolutely. The biggest advantage was how little planning we needed once we arrived. The beach, pools, waterpark, kids’ club, playgrounds and restaurants were all on-site, so we could simply choose what we felt like doing that day.
I think it is particularly good for families with children who want a relaxing all-inclusive holiday rather than spending every day travelling around Sunny Beach.
There are a few things to keep in mind — especially the pool sunbeds and the evening Kids’ Club noise — but neither was enough to stop us from wanting to return.
Getting to DIT Evrika Beach Club from Burgas Airport
As our flight arrived late, I booked a transfer in advance so I didn’t have to worry about getting to the hotel after a late flight with my kids.
You can check the different options depending on your preferences in my guide. (Spoiler: it takes around 30 minutes by car. If you take the bus, you can expect around 1–2 hours.)
Varna Airport is a little further away and takes around 1.5 hours by car to reach the hotel.
Where is the Hotel located?
DIT Evrika is located on the northern side of Sunny Beach, right next to the beach and around a 15-minute walk from the city center.
I believe this is a perfect location, especially for families. We were away from the clubs and part of the noise of the city but we only had to cross the promenade to get to the beach. This was particularly handy when travelling with kids in the heat.
Our verdict: A perfect pick for families — close enough to the city center, yet far from the noise with the beach just a short walk away. Ideal if you’re travelling with kids in the summer heat.
Our Room
The Double Family Room with Balcony was spacious enough for the four of us to fit in comfortably.
The parents’ bed was simple but comfortable. The kids had bunk beds, which were an immediate hit.

Of course, they both wanted the top bunk, so we eventually agreed on a daily rotation!
Their beds were tucked a little further away from the main part of the room, which I really liked. If one of us wanted to stay up and read in the evening, we could have the light on without disturbing them too much.
Our room overlooked the park, so it was generally quiet and peaceful. The only exception was the Kids’ Club on the ground floor of our block, where they had a kids’ party.
Luckily, the kids slept through it without any problems. After a full day in the water, they would fall asleep within five minutes. We were usually the ones still awake, waiting for the party downstairs to finish!
Our verdict: The bunk bed was a total hit with the kids, while the parents’ bed was comfortable and practical. The quiet, park-facing location is a big plus — just be aware of which block the Kids’ Club party is held in as it can get noisy in the evenings.
Amenities
There are three pools at the hotel.
One is only for premium guests. Then there is one big pool where you can simply swim, while the animation team also organises activities such as water aerobics and water polo.
The third pool is where the kids can play and where the waterpark for children under 130 cm is located.
The Waterpark
The DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel waterpark was one of the best things about the hotel.

During our stay, it was open from 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00. However, these hours weren’t strictly followed, as it often opened a bit earlier and was usually still open at 12:30 when we went for lunch.
One part of the waterpark was a slow river where you could simply float around. In some sections, the water was propelled and this was my daughter’s favourite part.
This section didn’t have a height restriction but the rest of the slides did — and the restrictions were taken seriously.
To use the three other slides, kids had to be over 130 cm.

There were two slides that my son and I particularly liked. The orange one was steep and therefore very fast, while the blue one was a little more sneaky and fun. We mainly went on those two together while my daughter played with Dad in the waterpark designed for smaller kids.
Planning a family holiday in Sunny Beach? We spent five days there with our two children. You can read our full Sunny Beach family holiday story or see how we spent our half-day in Nessebar with the kids.
At some point, I also had some fun on my own, as the biggest slide had a 150 cm height restriction. It was very fun, ending in an almost onion-shaped section before simply dropping you down from there.
Our verdict: One of the best experiences at the hotel. There’s something for every age group — height restrictions are taken seriously, so it’s worth checking in advance but the openings hours are not.
The Kids’ Club
Children are welcome to spend as much time there as they like during opening hours.
While we were there, they had a Kids’ Club open Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 12:30 and 3:00 to 5:00 PM
You can stay there with your child and play together or sign them up and leave them there with the animators. We did sign them up and left them there for an hour so we could have a little power couple hour for ourselves.
As my children don’t speak much English yet and it was the first time for them taking part in a children’s club, we didn’t want to leave them for longer.

When we left them, my son was reading his book while my daughter was looking around to see what she could play with. Other kids were playing Uno.
When we got back, they were having circle time, where they talked about what their favourite food was and where they came from.
They seemed to have fun. It probably would have been easier if they spoke English better but it was also an extra motivation for them to practise.
Every night there was a Kids’ Club party as well, which we didn’t take part in because the kids were very tired after spending the entire day in the water.
Next to the Kids’ Club, there are also two playgrounds. One is more suitable for toddlers, while the other was perfect for my kids’ age.

Our verdict: A great chance for a bit of parent time, even if your kids don’t speak much English yet — if anything, it’s more of a motivator than a barrier. Just expect some noise from the evening parties if your room is nearby.
The Amenities We Didn’t Use
There was also a tennis court, football field and gym, although, to be honest, we didn’t visit any of them this time.
A sauna is also part of the amenities provided by DIT Evrika, but as there were 30+ degree temperatures every day, we definitely didn’t feel the need to use it!
For a few euros, kids could also enjoy a few other activities such as air hockey, billiards and table tennis, alongside the coin-operated kiddie rides.
Food and Drinks as Part of the All-Inclusive
Being Hungarian means food is one of the focus points of any holiday, so I can tell you that even for us, the food was very good and there were a lot of options to choose from.
To start with, I really appreciated that we could have something to eat when we arrived, even though it was way after the restaurant had closed.
They had bread, salami and some cheese available for guests checking in late, so everyone could make a sandwich even after the normal restaurant hours.
Breakfast
For breakfast you could choose from a wide variety of continental breakfast options with plenty of salads, fruits and yoghurts.

There was also an omelette station where you could choose the ingredients you wanted.
Of course, one of the favourites was the pancakes with white chocolate sauce or Nutella.
What I particularly liked was that all the different types of bread, bread rolls and baguettes were baked on-site, so they were extra fresh.
Lunch and Dinner
For lunch and dinner — oh my goodness!
There were plenty of choices when it came to meat, salads and fruit. There were always three different kinds of pasta and pizza as well.

Our children are very different when it comes to food, so having plenty of choice really mattered.
My daughter was absolutely fond of the grilled meat with potatoes and vegetables, while my son preferred the more ragù-style dishes.
There was so much variety that we never even had to fall back on pasta, which is usually our backup option with the kids.
And the pizza wasn’t just an option for them. It had the thin crust that I really love, so I was more than happy to have it too.
And after all that, we somehow still managed to end every meal with dessert.
Ooh, desserts…
These were another universe!
I tried to taste all of them and almost succeeded by our fifth day.

The dangerous temptation of the hotel’s dessert and fruit buffet
Next to all the cakes, there were also six different types of ice cream, if you could still fit it in.
What I also noticed and liked was that DIT Evrika pays attention to people with special dietary requirements and babies. There was always alternative milk available, as well as baby food for the smallest guests.

As part of the all-inclusive board, we also had snack bars open with burgers, grilled food, salads, pizza and, of course, fruit and desserts.
As it turns out, my kids will only eat the oranges if they are sliced!
À la carte restaurants
If you are still hungry after all this food — which I think is almost impossible — you can also book a table at one of the three à la carte restaurants, themed around Mexican, Asian and Italian cuisine.

The best part was that because we stayed for at least 5 nights, we received one free booking at any of the à la carte restaurants. We saved it for our last night, and it was the perfect goodbye to the hotel. We had such a great time with delicious food and flawless service!
Our verdict: The all-inclusive offering stands out — huge variety, freshly baked bread and thoughtful options for special diets and babies too. The free à la carte dinner after a 5+ night stay is a lovely bonus worth saving for your last evening.
The Beach
The hotel has its own beach, just a two-minute walk from the hotel.
You literally just have to cross the promenade and you can take off your shoes and feel the nice, warm sand.
The sand was very fine, and there were plenty of sunbeds on the beach. We could always find two for us to put our things on whenever we went.
The best thing is that the sunbeds are included in the price.
There is also a beach bar with a limited selection of drinks. For example, beer was the only alcoholic drink available there but fruit juice, Coke and water were also available.
If you got hungry at the beach or wanted to drink something else, you could simply walk back to the hotel. The afternoon snack bar was located on the side of the building closest to the beach, so it was really convenient.
If you needed the restroom, you also had to walk back to the hotel. To wash off the sand, there were taps where you could easily clean your feet.

What was the sea like?
There was seaweed for three days during our stay, but luckily it cleared up during the last two days.
Other than this, the water was fairly clean.

The water gets deeper very slowly, so it was perfect for kids to play in. It was also reassuring for parents because you could let them play in the shallow water without constantly worrying about them going too far out.
Is There Anything We Didn’t Like About the Hotel?
There were a few minor things that weren’t particularly pleasant for us.
The first thing we learned on our first day was that if you don’t reserve a sunbed next to the pool early enough, you can have trouble finding one later. When we didn’t find any, we simply put our things down on the ground, which wasn’t the most convenient way to spend the day. We could have gone to the beach instead but we wanted to use the waterpark, so we decided to stay around the pool.
The other thing was the seaweed. It still didn’t stop us from having fun in the sea but of course everyone prefers clear water.
Finally, because our room was in the block where the Kids’ Club party took place, we parents couldn’t really sleep until it ended. The kids, however, had no problem sleeping through it after such a long day in the water!
Our verdict: A two-minute walk, free sunbeds and water that gets deep gradually — hard to beat for a family with kids. Occasional seaweed and a limited beach bar menu are minor downsides that don’t take away from the experience.
Final Thoughts
I think you can already tell that we loved the hotel, and it was the main reason we had such a great and relaxing holiday in Sunny Beach!
We would certainly come back again, especially so I could use the slides with both of my kids next time.
Even by Hungarian standards, I can tell you that the food was delicious and there was a wide selection offered each day.
The location and the beach are also perfect for families with kids.
For us, the biggest advantage was how easy everything was. The beach, waterpark, pools, Kids’ Club, playgrounds and food were all there, so we didn’t have to spend our holiday planning what to do next.
The nicest surprise was that even though we had to check out of our room by 11:00 AM, we were allowed to use all the amenities and the all-inclusive board while waiting for our taxi to pick us up at 8:00 PM. This meant that after check-out, we could still enjoy everything just as if we were full guests, except for having a room.
Sometimes, that’s exactly what you want from a family holiday.
Just eat, swim, play, repeat.
